Terms of Use
The terms that govern your use of the GoSavis platform
Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use govern your use of the GoSavis platform, including the customer site, the GoSavis Business operator surface, and any associated services and content. By creating an account, listing a service, booking a service, or otherwise using the platform, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms in full. If you are using the platform on behalf of a business or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
GoSavis Limited operates GoSavis. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 12899784, and our registered office is 32 Eyre Street, Sheffield, England, S1 4QZ.
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the service, law or risk. We publish the revision date and give reasonable notice of a material change. Where the nature of a change requires fresh agreement, we will ask you to accept the new version before the affected feature or contract is used. A change does not retrospectively alter a confirmed Booking.
These terms should be read with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and the provider conditions displayed for a Booking. A Business also accepts the Operator Agreement when it registers, and that agreement governs its use of GoSavis Business. Where we process personal information on a Business’s behalf, the Data Processing Addendum also forms part of these terms. The checkout summary and provider cancellation conditions form part of the Booking contract.
Definitions
A few terms appear throughout this document. We have tried to use them consistently, and what we mean by each is set out below.
Platform: The GoSavis website, applications, and any related services we operate
Customer: A person using the platform to discover and book services from a Business
Business: A sole trader, company, or organisation that lists services on the platform and accepts bookings through it
Booking: An agreement between a Customer and a Business for the provision of a specific service at a specific time, made through the platform
Content: Anything posted, uploaded, or transmitted on the platform, including listings, photos, reviews, and messages
Eligibility and your account
To use the platform you must be at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and provide accurate information when you sign up. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for any activity that takes place under your account, so we strongly recommend choosing a unique password and enabling any additional security features we offer.
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or close an account if we have reasonable grounds to believe these terms have been breached, if your activity puts other users at risk, or if we are required to do so by law. Where we close an account at our initiative we will, where practicable, give you notice and a chance to respond before doing so.
The preview
GoSavis offers a preview: a way to look around the platform signed into a sample world, without creating an account. Everything in the preview is sample data. The businesses are not real and nothing you do there creates a real booking, obligation, or payment, on your part or anyone else’s. A preview session cannot see or affect real accounts and businesses, and leaving the preview ends it. If you go on to create a real account, nothing from the preview follows you.
Our role on the platform
GoSavis provides the technology that lets Customers and Businesses find each other, agree on a Booking, and complete the related transaction. We are not a party to the underlying agreement for any service that a Business provides to a Customer, and we do not employ, supervise, or direct the work of Businesses listed on the platform.
We use onboarding, payment-readiness and moderation controls and may review documents or information supplied by a Business. A displayed registration detail may be information supplied by the Business unless the platform expressly marks it as verified. Payment-provider readiness is not a guarantee of service quality, suitability or compliance. The service contract remains between the Customer and the Business.
Terms for Customers
When you book a service through GoSavis you enter into a direct agreement with the Business that will provide it. The platform is responsible for facilitating the booking (and, where an online payment option is offered and chosen, processing that payment) and for supporting both sides if something goes wrong; the Business is responsible for the service itself, including its scope, quality, timing, and any aftercare.
You agree to give Businesses accurate information when making a Booking, to behave respectfully towards anyone you interact with through the platform, and to honour the rescheduling rules set out in each Business's listing. If you cannot attend a Booking, please cancel it rather than not arriving: a cancellation is refunded in full inside the statutory cancellation period where the Booking carries one, and otherwise under the cancellation terms shown at checkout, while a no-show charge may apply where one was shown to you before you confirmed. You also agree to leave reviews that are based on your genuine experience and that do not contain offensive, discriminatory, or personally identifying content about a Business's staff or other Customers.
Terms for Businesses
If you list services on GoSavis Business you agree to keep your listings, pricing, and availability accurate, to honour all confirmed Bookings, to perform the services you have agreed to in line with your listing and any applicable professional standards, and to comply with all laws and regulations that apply to your trade.
Your business also accepts the Operator Agreement when it registers. It is the agreement between GoSavis and your business, and on anything concerning your use of GoSavis Business, including your listing, your Bookings, the payments taken for them, our fees and your payouts, it governs where it differs from these terms.
You also agree that we may apply the commission and fees set out in the Operator Agreement to each Booking processed through the platform, and we will give you reasonable notice before changing them. You are responsible for any taxes that arise from your activity on the platform.
If you take one of the optional paid plans, its monthly fee is charged to the card you hold on file when you take the plan and again on each monthly renewal until you cancel. You may cancel at any time by contacting us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the month already paid for, that month is not refunded, and your account then returns to the free plan and its standard commission. If a renewal payment fails, your account returns to the free plan and we will tell you. The plans and their current fees are described in the Help Centre.
Payments, cancellations and refunds
The payment methods available for a Booking are shown at checkout. Depending on the Business and service, you may pay online by card through Stripe or agree to pay the Business on arrival. We do not store raw card numbers. Stripe processes the card entry and returns limited identifiers and card information needed to administer the payment.
A fixed price shown to you on GoSavis includes the GoSavis booking fee: one fixed amount per Booking, between £0.75 and £3.49 depending on the Booking's service total, which you pay in addition to the Business's own price and which is itemised at checkout before you confirm. Where a price is a rate (per person, per room or per hour), it is shown as the Business set it with the fee schedule beside it, and the fee is added once to the Booking's total, never to each unit. The Business sets its own price; the fee is charged by GoSavis, not by the Business. For an online payment, checkout identifies whether the Business or GoSavis is the payment merchant and shows the amount, timing and applicable conditions before you confirm. GoSavis may also collect a commission from the Business. A pay-on-arrival Booking is paid directly to the Business by a method it accepts.
The cancellation terms and any no-show charge shown at checkout apply to the Booking, even if the Business changes its terms afterwards, and they sit beneath your statutory rights. In the 14 days that follow the day you make a Booking you may cancel it for any reason, whatever notice you give, and your payment is refunded in full, including the GoSavis booking fee. That period is a right the law gives you: no Business sets it and none may shorten or price it, and because most appointments happen inside it, it is the rule that decides most cancellations. It does not cover an event ticket, which is a contract for a leisure activity on a fixed date, or a Booking a Business makes for you in person at its premises; for those, the Business's cancellation terms decide what comes back from the start, held to the same floor. It does cover a Booking a Business makes for you in person anywhere other than its premises, at your home for example, and one it makes for you by phone or message. Once it has ended, the Business's cancellation terms decide what comes back, and the platform holds every Business to a floor: cancel at least 24 hours before the start and your payment is refunded in full; cancel inside 24 hours and 50 per cent of the price of the service is refunded. A Business may offer terms more generous than that floor and may not offer less. Not attending is a different matter. If you do not attend a Booking and have not cancelled it, the Business may apply the no-show charge shown to you at checkout, which can be no more than 50 per cent of the price of the service; that charge is kept from the payment you have already made and the remainder is refunded to you; where what you have paid does not exceed the charge, there is no remainder and nothing comes back to you. A no-show charge applies only where it was shown to you before you confirmed, and never above the figure you were shown. If the Business cancels a prepaid Booking, your payment is refunded in full, including the fee, through the original payment route. If nobody attends to provide a Booking, you can report it from the Booking once its start time has passed and for up to 30 days after it. The Business has 3 days to respond, and nothing is paid to it for the Booking meanwhile; if it does not respond, or GoSavis finds that nobody attended, your payment is refunded in full, including the fee, through the original payment route, whether or not the Business has already been paid for the Booking.
An appointment that falls inside those 14 days is provided while you can still cancel, so it can be booked only with your request that the Business provide the service within that period. Checkout says so directly above the booking button, naming the Business and the date, and booking with that statement shown makes the request; if you would rather not make it, you can choose a date after the period ends. The request does not affect your right to cancel before the service is provided: until then you may cancel for any reason and your payment is refunded in full. Once the service has been provided in full and the Business has marked the Booking complete, you can no longer cancel it for a refund. Until then, and on any Booking made without the request, including one a Business makes for you by phone or message or in person away from its premises, your right to cancel continues after the appointment for the rest of the period: you may still cancel the Booking from your bookings in GoSavis, and your payment is refunded in full, including the GoSavis booking fee.
The GoSavis booking fee is refunded with your payment. Whenever your payment for a Booking is refunded in full, for whatever reason, including where you cancel under a statutory right, the refund includes the fee. Where a cancellation or no-show charge applies, the charge is calculated on the Business's price for the service alone and never includes the fee, so whatever you have paid above the charge, the fee included, is refunded to you; where what you have paid does not exceed the charge, there is nothing above it and nothing comes back to you. A charge is the Business's compensation; GoSavis takes no share of it and keeps no part of its fee on a Booking that is cancelled or not attended.
A Business may also refund all or part of what you paid through GoSavis for a Booking. The refund goes back through the payment route you used, and you are told the amount and the reason the Business gives.
The model cancellation form and the ways to cancel a Booking are set out on their own page.
Stripe, a card issuer or a bank may require authentication, reject a payment, reverse funds or investigate a dispute. We and the Business may use booking, communication and payment evidence to respond. Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights or prevents you from using a statutory complaint, chargeback or court process where available.
Our Complaints page explains who deals with a complaint about a service, about GoSavis or about content, and how to make one.
Content you post
When you post content on the platform you keep ownership of it. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, reformat, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform. We will only use your content in ways that are consistent with the purpose for which you posted it.
You must not post, send or link to content that is illegal, fraudulent or materially misleading; threatens, harasses or abuses another person; promotes hatred, exploitation, violence or a criminal offence; contains pornography, non-consensual intimate material or child sexual abuse material; encourages, promotes or gives instructions for suicide, self-harm, eating disorders, dangerous stunts or harmful-substance use; exposes personal information without authority; infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights; advertises prohibited goods or services; or amounts to spam, a fake review or hidden advertising.
We may use user reports, rules, technical signals and human review to investigate content. Depending on severity and context, we may reduce distribution, remove content, preserve evidence, warn or restrict an account, suspend access or report a matter to an appropriate authority. We prioritise reports involving imminent physical harm, child safety and non-consensual intimate material. While a report about a post, review, comment, photo or other content is waiting for a decision, we leave that content out of recommendations and search. We leave a whole Business or profile out of them only while a report of terrorism content, child sexual exploitation and abuse content or an intimate image shared without consent is waiting, or while its account is suspended. What is left out stays at its own address, and it is offered again once the report is decided, unless the decision removes it.
Use the Report control beside content where available. You can also use Feedback and reporting or email support@gosavis.com. Identify the content, explain why you believe it is illegal or breaches these terms, and include any information needed to assess the report. If we remove your content, or suspend or restrict your account, after a report and you believe the decision is wrong, you can appeal it from the link in the notice we send you. Someone other than the person who made the decision reviews the appeal, we decide it within 7 days and tell you the outcome, and where we overturn the decision we reverse what we can, although removed content cannot always be put back. You may complain about any other decision through the same routes, and we will review the complaint separately where practicable and tell you the outcome unless law, safety or another person's rights prevent us.
How we protect you from illegal content
If we get it wrong
This section sets out how we protect people from illegal content on GoSavis, how we deal with it once we know about it, and how you can tell us about it. It applies to everything anyone can post, send, upload or link to on the platform.
We do not scan, filter or automatically classify what you post, and we do not profile users or analyse behaviour to look for illegal content. We rely on reports from the people who use GoSavis and from anyone else who sees something on it, on information from the police, a regulator or another authority, and on our own review of content. If we ever begin using an automated tool for this purpose, we will set out here what the tool is, when it is used and how it works, before we start using it.
Where anyone tells us about content that may be illegal, or we become aware of it in any other way, a person looks at it. Where we have reasonable grounds to infer that it is illegal, we remove it or restrict access to it as quickly as we can, and we record the decision and what the content was before it was removed, so the decision can be answered for later.
Terrorism content and child sexual exploitation and abuse content are the most serious things that can appear on any service, and reports naming either are dealt with ahead of everything else. We remove content of either kind as soon as we have reasonable grounds to infer it is present, and we do not wait for any other process to finish first. We report child sexual exploitation and abuse content that we detect on the platform to the National Crime Agency, as the law requires, and where telling an account holder that a report has been made would prejudice an investigation we do not tell them. Every other kind of priority illegal content is dealt with in turn, and we aim to keep the time any of it is on the platform as short as we can.
A private conversation is treated differently, and deliberately so. Because both people hold a copy of a message, upholding a report about the words of a conversation or a message does not delete them: deleting them would destroy the other person’s record of an exchange they may need. We record the decision and, where it is warranted, act on the account instead. A photo sent in a conversation is different: where we uphold a report about it, we remove it from the conversation for everyone in it, the words stay, and we keep a copy privately as evidence for as long as our retention periods allow.
A first message to you from someone who is not one of your contacts arrives as a message request rather than an open conversation. Someone is your contact if you share a Booking with them, have accepted a request from them or have messaged them. You can read a request and accept, decline, block or report it; until you accept it, the sender cannot send you anything more, including a photo, and declining it closes it without telling them. An invitation to a group from someone who is not your contact arrives the same way. A message to a Business about its services is never a request. A photo sent to you by someone who is not your contact is covered until you choose to view it, and if you block someone who shares a group with you, what they say in that group no longer reaches you.
If you tell us that an intimate image of you has been shared on GoSavis without your consent, we treat the report as the most urgent kind we receive. We remove the content within 48 hours of a valid report, together with any copy of it that we identify, and we act on the account that shared it.
Anyone can report content on GoSavis, and you do not need an account to do it. You can report content whether or not it is about you: as the person the content is about, as someone it targets, as a parent or carer of a child who uses GoSavis or who the content affects, as an adult helping another adult, or simply as someone who has seen it. You can report a business or personal profile, a service listing, a post, a review, a comment, a photo or a video, and, if you are signed in, a conversation or a single message in it. You can report content you believe is illegal and content you believe is harmful to a child.
Use the Report control beside the content. If you cannot reach one, or you have no account, go to Report content, where you can paste a link to what you have seen and describe the concern in your own words. If you have no account, we give you a reference for the report and ask for an email address if you would like updates about it. Whether or not you have an account, you can choose not to receive updates when you report. You can also email support@gosavis.com. Identify the content, explain why you believe it is illegal or harmful, and include anything we would need to assess it.
A person reviews every report and the decision is recorded. Before you report, we tell you who will be told what about it. Once we decide a report about content anyone can see, we tell the person or Business responsible for it our decision and that it followed a report, unless telling them could prejudice an investigation. Nobody in a conversation is told about a report on it or on a message in it, and the person who sent a photo we remove from a conversation is told that it was removed. We never tell anyone outside our team who made a report or what they wrote.
You can complain to us about content you have reported that we have not removed, about a decision to remove your content or restrict your account, and about a failure by us to do what this section says we will do. Use the same routes, and say that you are complaining rather than reporting. The complaint route in the content rules above sets out how we handle it, and a decision to remove your content or suspend your account after a report can be appealed as the content rules describe.
If we remove your content, or suspend or close your account, in breach of these terms, you may bring a claim against us for breach of contract. Nothing in these terms takes that right away from you.
We apply this section consistently, to everyone, whatever the content is and whoever posted it. In deciding what to do we take account of your right to freedom of expression within the law and your right to privacy, and we do not read private conversations except where a report or a legal obligation requires it.
Reviews and recommendations
A review must describe a genuine experience and must not be bought, fabricated, copied, posted by the reviewed Business or its staff as a customer, or influenced by an undisclosed reward. A Business must not suppress negative reviews, condition an incentive on a favourable score or ask another person to misrepresent their experience.
Reporting a review
A review can be left only from an account that has completed a Booking through GoSavis: of a Business or one of its services, a Booking with that Business; of a car park or an event, a Booking there; and of a named team member who delivered a service, a Booking they were assigned to. A car park or an event is reviewed as itself, whoever runs it. Each account may leave one review of each Business, service, car park, event or team member. Once a Booking is complete we send the same review invitation to every Customer whose Booking completed, subject to their notification settings; it is not selected by how the Booking went.
A review carrying the mark "Completed booking" was written from an account that completed a qualifying Booking through GoSavis, and GoSavis checked that Booking before the review was published. The mark verifies the Booking, not the review: it is not independent proof that any statement in the review is accurate, and GoSavis does not check individual statements before publication.
When writing a review you can record anything you were offered or received for leaving it, in your own words. Whatever you record is published with the review and shown wherever the review appears, marked "Incentive received". A review written for a reward that is not disclosed may be removed. A Business must not offer a reward for a favourable rating or review, must not choose whom to invite to review by how they are expected to rate, and must not ask a Customer to change or remove a review in exchange for a refund or any other benefit. GoSavis does not reward Customers for leaving reviews, and nothing on the platform pays or credits anyone according to the rating they give.
A review is published as soon as it is submitted. Its author may edit the rating, the text, the tags and the incentive disclosure for seven days after writing it; after that it stays as written. A Business may publish one reply to a review of itself, of one of its services or of a car park or an event it owns, and the host of a car park or an event that no Business owns may publish one reply to a review of it; a reply is shown beneath the review. Authors cannot delete a review themselves; a request concerning your own review and your personal data is handled under the Privacy Policy, separately from any request by a Business to remove criticism.
Reports are looked at by a person. We may ask the author or the Business for evidence, and we may remove a review, or restrict an account, where a review does not describe the author's genuine experience, was written by the reviewed Business or its staff posing as a Customer, was written for an undisclosed incentive, forms part of a pattern that does not reflect genuine Bookings, contains personal information about staff or other Customers, is unlawful or breaches the content rules above, or is unrelated to what it reviews. A Business cannot remove or edit a review of itself, of its services or of a car park or an event it owns, and we do not edit reviews on a Business's behalf. If your review is removed and you believe the decision is wrong, the appeal route in the content rules above applies.
The rating shown for a Business is the plain average of the star ratings on its published reviews, including reviews of its services and of the car parks and events it owns, and the count beside it is the number of those reviews; in the Business's list of reviews, a review of one of its car parks or events names it. The rating shown for a car park or an event is the average of the published reviews of it, and a service's rating is the average of the published reviews of that service. Nothing is weighted, paid placement has no effect on a rating, and no rating is stored separately from the reviews it is calculated from: when a review is removed or otherwise unpublished, it leaves the rating and the count the moment it leaves the list.
To report a review, open its options menu and choose Report, then give the reason. You can also use the contact route in the content rules above. We record what was reported and the outcome.
Acceptable use and platform security
You must not misuse the platform, attempt unauthorised access, probe or bypass security, introduce malicious code, scrape personal information, overload the service, automate account creation, interfere with another user, reverse engineer restricted parts of the service or use platform data to train an artificial-intelligence system without our written permission. Security concerns should be reported privately to support rather than tested against production users or data.
Availability and changes to the service
We may maintain, change, suspend or withdraw a feature. We try to give reasonable notice where a change materially affects an active paid service or confirmed Booking, but urgent security, legal or reliability work may require immediate action. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Intellectual property
The GoSavis name, logo, brand assets, software, and the look and feel of the platform are the intellectual property of GoSavis Limited and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. Nothing in these terms grants you a licence to use any of these assets except as needed to use the platform itself; in particular, you must not copy, reverse engineer, or build derivative works from any part of our software.
Disclaimers and liability
A Business, not GoSavis, supplies the booked service and is responsible for its description, quality, safety, legality and performance. GoSavis is responsible for providing the platform with reasonable care and skill. We do not guarantee that a listing is error-free, that a Business will accept or fulfil every Booking, or that the service will always be uninterrupted.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory consumer rights, or anything else which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
If you are a consumer
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss caused by the Business, information you supplied, an event outside our reasonable control or your use of the platform for a trade or business. Your statutory rights are not affected.
If you use GoSavis for business purposes
The Operator Agreement and any payment terms govern business-specific liability. Unless those terms provide otherwise, and subject to liabilities which cannot be limited, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss or loss of profit, revenue, anticipated savings or goodwill, and GoSavis's aggregate liability arising from the platform is limited to the greater of £100 and the platform fees paid by that Business in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the platform and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms, if your activity creates a material risk to other users or to the platform, or where we are required to do so by law. Where we close your account, we will retain only the information we are required by law to keep and will delete or anonymise the rest in line with our Privacy Policy.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, except that nothing in this clause prevents a consumer from bringing a claim in the courts of the country in which they are habitually resident if the law of that country gives them that right.
Contact
If you have any questions about these terms, please contact our legal team at legal@gosavis.com, or our general support team at support@gosavis.com for help with anything else.
