Safety
How GoSavis keeps customers and businesses safe on the platform
Our approach to safety
Safety is foundational to everything we build at GoSavis. We take a multi-layered approach so that every interaction on the platform, whether between a customer and a business, between a business and one of its team members, or between an operator and our support team, takes place inside a clear set of expectations and protections.
We treat safety and trust as inseparable. A platform that is technically secure but allows misleading listings is unsafe. A platform that vets businesses but offers no recourse when something goes wrong is unsafe. We try to address all of these layers together, and we revise them as the platform grows.
Business verification
Businesses complete onboarding and must satisfy the applicable trade and payment-readiness gates before taking live bookings. GoSavis distinguishes information supplied by a business from a status expressly verified through a payment or review process.
Business identity and registration information supplied during onboarding
Document or payment-provider verification where the corresponding control is enabled
Review of listings and reports for inaccurate, unsafe or misleading claims
Ongoing monitoring of reviews and dispute reports for early signals of trouble
A supplied company number, licence or insurance statement is not a platform guarantee unless it is expressly marked verified. We may pause trading, request evidence, correct a misleading trust signal or remove a business that does not satisfy the applicable controls.
Payments, honestly
Checkout may offer online card payment through Stripe or pay on arrival. The available route and the payment merchant are shown before confirmation.
GoSavis does not store raw card numbers
Stripe-hosted payment components handle card entry and authentication
Refund and dispute records remain linked to the relevant booking
Strong customer authentication where required by law, including 3D Secure on cards that support it
Reviews and trust signals
A review of a business or service on GoSavis can be left only from an account that completed a booking with that business, which is the simplest way we know to keep the signal-to-noise ratio high. A review written against such a booking carries a 'Completed booking' mark; the mark tells you the booking happened and was checked, not that every statement in the review is accurate. Where a reviewer records that something was offered for their review, that is shown with the review too. We do not allow businesses to remove reviews they dislike, and we do not edit reviews on a business's behalf. We do remove reviews that are clearly off-topic, defamatory, written for an undisclosed reward, or that contain personally identifying information about a business's staff or other customers, in line with our content rules. A business's rating is an average over its published reviews at the moment you look, so a removed review stops counting at once.
Safety during in-person services
Many of the services booked through GoSavis happen in person, often inside a customer's home or business. We provide both sides with the information they need to make a safe choice (verified business identity, real reviews, transparent pricing, clear cancellation rules) and we make it straightforward to report concerns either before or after a booking. If you ever feel unsafe, please contact the relevant emergency services first, and then let us know so we can investigate and act.
Reporting a concern
If you encounter unsafe behaviour, fraudulent listings, or any other concern on the platform, please report it as soon as you can. Our trust and safety team reviews every report, and where appropriate we will take action that ranges from a warning to immediate removal from the platform.
Email: support@gosavis.com
In-app: Use the Report option on any listing or booking
The order reports are taken in: By how serious the concern is rather than by when it arrived, with terrorism and child sexual exploitation reports ahead of everything else
How soon a report is reviewed: We confirm a report as soon as it arrives, and a person reviews it within 24 hours, sooner where it suggests someone may be at immediate risk
What you hear back: Once your report has been decided we tell you the outcome, in your notifications if you hold an account and by email if you gave an address, unless you chose not to receive updates when you reported it. Without updates, an email address is not needed
Who is told about a report: Apart from you, nobody outside our team is told when a report is made. Once we decide, the person or business responsible for the content is told our decision and that it followed a report, unless telling them could prejudice an investigation, but never who reported it. Nobody in a conversation is told about a report on it or on a message in it. If a decision is appealed, the person appealing is told nothing more about the report or about you
If a decision affects you: You can appeal it from the notice we send you. A member of our team who did not take the decision reviews the appeal and decides it within 7 days, and we tell you the outcome and the reason
If you have found a security vulnerability in GoSavis itself, please report it through the route on our vulnerability disclosure page instead.
