Refer a provider
How referrals work on GoSavis, and what they do and do not earn
How it works
A referral records one fact: that an account arrived on GoSavis through your link. Operators have a referral link, and referring another provider is what the programme is for. Bringing a business you rate onto the platform lowers the commission we take from you.
Find your link in your operator settings, under Referrals
Share it with a provider you would be glad to see on GoSavis
They register through it, and the referral is recorded on their account at that moment
Once they start trading, your commission rate drops
The link is recorded at registration and only then. An account already on GoSavis cannot be attributed to a referrer afterwards, and an account can be attributed once, to one referrer, for the life of that account.
What a referral earns
The benefit is a commission relief, and it is for operators. GoSavis takes a commission on every booking an operator takes; each business you refer that starts trading takes one percentage point off that rate, for as long as they are trading with us. The relief stacks with each further business you bring, up to a cap of three percentage points, and it applies to every booking rather than to one.
Two things follow from that, and we would rather say them here than leave them to be discovered.
A referral earns nothing until the business you referred has actually traded on GoSavis. Registering is not enough, on purpose: a relief that paid out on sign-ups alone would reward accounts rather than activity
There is no reward credit, on either side. Nothing is applied to a booking, nothing is paid out, and there is nothing to claim. The commission relief is the whole of it
Your operator settings show what you have earned: how many accounts arrived through your link, how many of those are trading, and the relief in effect on your rate right now.
Eligibility and limits
A few rules keep the programme fair, and each one is enforced rather than merely stated.
You cannot refer yourself: a link that names your own account records nothing
An account is attributed once, when it registers, and a repeated registration adds nothing further
Only referrals that are trading count towards your relief
The relief follows the referred account: if it closes or is suspended, the relief it earned stands down
The relief is capped at three percentage points, however many businesses you bring
We may change or end the programme, with reasonable notice
If you book on GoSavis rather than trade on it
There is no customer referral reward. Recommending GoSavis to a friend, or telling a business you like that they should be here, is welcome and genuinely useful to us, and it earns you nothing: the relief above is a discount on operator commission, which a customer account does not pay. We would rather say so plainly than imply a reward that does not exist.
Programme terms
The referral programme is governed by these terms together with the general Terms of Use, and, for operators, the Operator Agreement. Referrals may be withdrawn for individual accounts where we have reasonable grounds to suspect abuse.
If you have any questions about the programme, please email support@gosavis.com and we will be happy to help.
