Booking a service
How to find a provider, choose a time, and confirm a booking.
Find and book
Search for the service you need or browse a category that interests you, open the listing of a business you like the look of, choose a date and time from their availability, and confirm. Your booking is confirmed straight away where the business offers instant confirmation and anything due at booking has been paid, and otherwise once the business accepts it; a booking made for someone under the age of majority always waits for the business to accept it. Either way you receive the details of who is providing the service and what to expect.
Common questions
Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?
Yes, from your bookings page. In the 14 days that follow the day you book, cancelling costs you nothing whatever notice you give: a prepaid booking is refunded in full, including the GoSavis booking fee, and a pay-on-arrival booking has no card payment to unwind. An appointment inside those 14 days can be booked only with your request that the business provide the service within that time, which checkout states above the booking button. Once the service has been provided in full and the business has marked it complete, it can no longer be cancelled for a refund; until then, or where no request was made, you can still cancel it from your bookings after the appointment, within the period, and be refunded in full. An event ticket is not covered by the 14-day right, because it is for a leisure activity on a fixed date, and neither is a booking a business makes for you in person at its premises; for those, the business's own cancellation terms apply from the start. A booking a business makes for you in person anywhere else, at your home for example, or by phone or message, is covered as usual. After that period the business's own terms apply, and the platform floor beneath them is a full refund up to 24 hours before the start, with 50 per cent refunded inside that. Please cancel as early as you can (the business was holding that slot for you), and be aware that not attending without cancelling may carry a no-show charge where one was shown to you at checkout, and that repeated no-shows may lead a business to decline your future bookings.
What if a service is not delivered as agreed?
Please raise the issue with the business first; many problems are resolved quickly with a polite message. If you are unable to reach an agreement, our support team will help mediate and, where appropriate, will make a determination based on the evidence available.
How do reviews work?
After a booking has been completed you will be invited to leave a review. Reviews are public and shape how easy it is for other customers to make a confident choice, so please be honest and specific. We do not edit reviews on a business's behalf.
When can I buy tickets for an event?
Paid tickets for an event go on sale no earlier than 85 days before the event starts, because GoSavis holds every ticket's payment at least until the event starts and can hold a payment for at most 85 days. Until then, the event's page shows the day they go on sale, and when you are signed in you can choose Notify me to be told in the app and by email when they do; if the event is cancelled or taken off sale first, no notice is sent. Free tickets and free RSVPs can be booked at any time. If the organiser changes the event's date or time after you have bought a ticket, your ticket moves with it and you are told the new date.
